Florida West Arts visual artist members, who are featured on this website, are called ARTgalleryflorida artists. Only a select number of members are chosen to exhibit in “One Person Shows” on floridawestarts.com. Some of those selected for the ARTgalleryflorida artist designation have already received awards in our Artescape Series of juried exhibitions. In addition to being featured on this website, the artworks of our ARTgalleryflorida artists and our other visual artist members are also featured in exhibitions in Southwest Florida. The 2007-2008 season of community exhibitions, music and art evenings and multimedia arts events ends soon. And when you click on Que Pasa, you will view a very special show of some of the outstanding wood sculptures from a prominent collection of Mexican Fantasy Animals. Many of the wood sculptors, who are represented in the Que Pasa Collection, have pieces in the Smithsonian Institute Collections in Washington, D.C.
In keeping with an overall theme of Florida West Arts, the featured artworks represent a variety of styles, subject matter and media.
