GULFCOASTING SOUTH OF THE NEWS-PRESS (JANUARY 2, 2008) PICKED OUR ARTESCAPE FLORIDA WEST
EXHIBITION I AT COCONUT POINT AS ONE OF THE TOP 10 THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN EARLY 2008
"We looked at the brochures, scanned the press releases, made the phone calls and even googled
a show or two…..here are the hottest, most promising shows so far....Artescape comes to Coconut Point...
This show has more technology informed pieces than ever, including mixed media and digitally altered photography. Take for example, the unusual digital photos by Cape Coral artist Florene Welebny. Welebny experiments with camera settings, filters, lenses, exposure and different types of paper for what she calls her 'lens art.' The results are colorful woozy images of Southwest Florida that look like they’re from another world..."
