November 20 – December 16. The Florida West Arts Gallery presents “The Florida West Arts National Juried Exhibition 2010” - a fine art competition featuring two and three dimensional artworks. The mission given to the jury is to select outstanding paintings, mixed media, sculptures, glassworks, collage, pottery, assemblage, and photography from the traditional to the contemporary as well as artworks representing new directions in art. January 6 – February 3. Florida West Arts presents a two person show featuring archival photography by Charles Fritsch and Cynthia Walpole. This husband and wife team travel the world over; and where ever they go, the two artists capture exciting images of the Earth’s environment and its inhabitants. Those who are privileged to posses one of their artworks will enjoy a unique "captured moment" for the rest of their lives. Artists are asked to dig down deep into the “artist sole” and create their "best work ever", something different. Two and three dimensional works are featured. This is the eighth season for the Artescape series. The series began as Artescape Naples, and became Artescape Florida West in 2008.The deadline for artists to enter is April 19.
